Friday Journal Topic 9/6/13

Today we looked at our apple mummies. Write a journal entry that answers the following questions. What changes did you notice about your apple slice? How did it feel? smell? look? Natron salt was used by the Ancient Egyptians as a dessicant. Our mixture of salt and baking soda mimicked the mixture used by the Ancient Egyptians. What do you thing the word dessicant means? What have you learned about mummification?
